Daniel Samper Ospina (Bogotá, 1974) is a Colombian writer, journalist, and columnist. He is the director of adult magazine SoHo.[1][2] and also writes for Revista Semana.[1]
He studied literature at Pontifical Xavierian University.[1] He was a literature teacher at the Gimnasio Moderno School and journalism teacher at University of the Andes.
As a journalist he has worked in Cromos and Jet Set. He has also written columns for El Tiempo. Since 2008 he is a columnist for Semana, which have been controversial, turning into a subject of discussion in the media.[3]
Daniel was born on 15 August 1974 to Daniel Samper Pizano and Cecilia Ospina Cuéllar, the third child and only son; his older sisters are Juanita, and María Angélica. He is the nephew of Ernesto Samper Pizano, former President of Colombia. On 29 July 2006, Daniel married Claudia García Jaramillo in a civil ceremony in Bogotá.[4] Together they have two daughters, Guadalupe (b. 2006) and Paloma (b. 2009).
